Runeberg’s tart The national poet, J. L. Runeberg, enjoyed for breakfast a sweet tart, baked by his wife Fredrika, with a snaps. The tart is baked of bun and bread crumbs, moistened with punch and topped with apple jam. The tart is still sold in many cafés of Old Porvoo. The day of Runeberg is 5th February.

Timbaali is in heart of Old Town and it orders snails, part of which are grown in the curtilage of the restaurant. You can eat there also other things and try wine's, very good in there. Personally I am not a big fan of idea of eating snails, but who is, I guess Porvoo is wirth of visiting just because of Timbaali even...
